A Civic Centre insider claims that Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council has rejected plans to upgrade its telephone system.

“Why would we need new telephones when there is hardly anyone here to answer them and, in the infrequent event that they happen to be in the building, no-one can be a***d to pick up, anyway”

The Council’s press office has not be asked for comment, or a statement, because they, mostly, can’t be a***d to answer press enquiries from Neil Wilby Media, either.
