An accelerated misconduct hearing involving a Greater Manchester Police officer will open at 10.00am on Tuesday 19th December 2023 and will last for four days. It will take place at force HQ.
Police Constable Delargy will answer allegations that he abused his position of authority and acted inappropriately to work colleagues and that such conduct amounts to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of Authority, Respect and Courtesy and Discreditable Conduct.
GMP has offered no other detail concerning the allegations or the composition of the Panel that will hear them. This class of opacity does not serve the public interest or sustain confidence in the police complaints system.
The length of hearing suggests that PC Delargy will deny the allegations and be legally represented at the hearing.
The force press office has been contacted to, hopefully, provide further details.
