
An Accelerated Misconduct Hearing involving one of their officers will be held on 12th January, 2024 say Greater Manchester Police.
The hearing, which will be held in public, will take place at Force HQ, Central Park, Northampton Road, Manchester. It will begin at 1300 hrs.
PC 16810 Raja Yousaf will answer allegations that his conduct amounts to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour for Discreditable Conduct contrary to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020 following conviction for attempting to pervert the course of public justice.
PC Yousaf, who lived in Oldham and was an officer posted to GMP’s Tameside District, has been suspended from duty since June, 2022. He was convicted at Liverpool Crown Court in August, 2023 (read full story here).
The force has not provided the name of the Legally Qualified Chair or the details of the other two Panel members.
No explanation has been given for the delay between the criminal conviction and the conclusion of the disciplinary proceedings.
