The ‘radically independent’ news website, The National Pulse, has independently confirmed complaints by far-right activist turned citizen journalist, ‘Tommy Robinson‘, that his Telegram channel can no longer be accessed via Apple and Android phones.

This is as a result of  tech giants, Apple and Google, taking steps to block users’ access to it, The Pulse says.

“If you’re trying to access my Telegram channel and you can’t, it’s because the censorship continues,” Robinson said in a short podcast posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday (18th March, 2024).

“Apple… and also Google Play, Android, whatever,” have both blocked access to the channel, he continued, saying: “Telegram haven’t banned me, but the mobile phone companies and providers have.”

“We’re obviously doing something right,” he added, “if it wasn’t for  Elon Musk we’d be totally erased again now.”

He urged Musk, the billionaire owner of ‘X’ (Twitter), to “bring out his own mobile phone, so we can get away from iPhones, so we can get away from their censorship, Google, all of them.”

‘X’ does partly censor Robinson, however: It is not possible to embed Robinson’s posts on external wesites — including Neil Wilby Media and The National Pulse.

Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, invites those who want to view his Telegram channel to do so by downloading the Telegram desktop App directly from Telegram.

He was due to rally his fellow anti-grooming gang supporters in Oldham, Greater Manchester this weekend (23rd March, 2024) but the planned visit was cancelled as he opted, understandably, to concentrate on his defence against two upcoming court actions.

In at least one of them, a contempt of court committal, he is likely to face a return to prison (read previous Neil Wilby Media article here).
