
Humberside Police has issued notice of a misconduct hearing featuring two of their former officers.
Police Constables Ross Anderson and David Brewin no longer serve with the force but disciplinary proceedings against them conclude on 15th May, 2024 at The Magistrates Building, Estcourt Terrace, Goole in East Yorkshire.
Allegations against former PC Anderson:
It is alleged that he breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in that:
a. Between 29th November 2022 and 8th January 2023, he sent unrequested and/or inappropriate images and videos of himself, to Witness X, a member of police staff.
b. Between July 2022 and January 2023, he sent unrequested and/or inappropriate images of himself, to Witness Y.
c. In or around January 2019 he sent unrequested and/or inappropriate images of himself, to Witness Z.
d. Between 2020 and 2023, he subjected Witness A to inappropriate and/or unwanted comments as well as touching her without her consent.
e. During his time as a police officer, he sought to befriend female police officers on social media to try and engage in unrequested sexualised and/or inappropriate communication.
The above conduct breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour relating to:
- Discreditable Conduct
- Authority, Respect and Courtesy
Allegations against former PC Brewin:
It is alleged that he breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in that:
a. During 2020 and 2021 he worked with Witness A. During that period, and whilst on duty, he made comments to her that were unwanted, inappropriate and/or sexual.
The above conduct breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour relating to:
- Discreditable Conduct
- Authority, Respect and Courtesy
The force has not made clear when the two officers left the force or whether they were suspended prior to doing so. Or whether, in particular, former PC Anderson faced any criminal action as a result of his misconduct.
