
In a notice on their website, West Yorkshire Police say that on 13th February 2024 at 10.00am, at Force Headquarters in Laburnum Road, Wakefield, a misconduct hearing will take place in relation to former PC 5279 Alice Holt.
It is alleged that Ex-PC Holt (pictured above centre) has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour for police officers, specifically the standard of:
Discreditable Conduct.
And it is contended that (if proven) the allegations amount to gross misconduct.
Specifically, it is alleged that
- On 31 January 2023, whilst off-duty, PC Holt attended at Jake’s Bar in Leeds
- Shortly after midnight (1 February 2023) PC Holt was required to leave the premises by the Bar Manager
- In the course of being escorted from the premises PC Holt (a) engaged in a verbal altercation with a member of the security staff and (b) pushed him in the chest
- Shortly after leaving the premises, PC Holt returned and (a) engaged in a further verbal altercation with the same member of staff and (b) pushed him in the chest
- On 11 July 2023, PC Holt accepted a conditional caution in respect of 2 criminal allegations of assault relating to the conduct described at 3(b) and 4(b) above.
The force has not provided the name of the Legally Qualified Chair or the names of the other two Panel members.
No explanation has been given for the delay in bringing the misconduct proceedings to a conclusion.
In June, 2021, received public recognition as WYP Student Officer of the Year for her dedication and commitment as a member of the Bradford Domestic Abuse Team.
