West Yorkshire Police say that one of their serving officers has appeared in court charged with assaulting a teenage girl.

PC Mark Ostiadel, 43, is charged with two counts of assaulting a girl under the age of 13 by touching and two counts of sexual assault on a female.

He appeared before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 26th August 2025 and was bailed to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 23rd September 2025.

The force added that the officer, who is based in operational support, was currently suspended from duty.
