A serving Greater Manchester Police officer has been charged with rape.
James Andrew Darnton, 51, faces the charge in relation to an incident involving a woman in 2009.
A report of the subject incident was received in October, 2021.
T/Insp Darnton is listed appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 10th July 2023.
