West Yorkshire Police say a civilian member of staff is due to appear in court charged with sexual assault.
Matthew Oxby, 48, who is deployed in the Regional Scientific Support Services unit, has been charged with sexually assaulting a female, the force said.
The charge relates to an alleged incident which took place whilst the officer was off duty in Wakefield city centre in December, 2022.
He is currently suspended from duty and is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 18th May, 2023.
