Here we go again

After what is believed to be a record breaking year in 2022,  comprising an unprecedented nine magistrates’ courts appearances, in three different court centres, plus a listed case management hearing at which he wasn’t required to, and didn’t, attend (read more here), an unemployed Tameside-based conspiracy theorist returns to the Greater Manchester courtrooms today (17th January, 2023).

Raja Miah, 49, of Stamford Street, Mossley (pictured above) is listed to appear in Court 1 in Manchester Magistrates’ Court at 9.30am. It is a pre-trial review ahead of a two day hearing on 2nd and 3rd February, 2023 in the same court, at which he faces allegations of harassment against a 40 year old female lawyer from the Salford area.

He pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing, at which the complainant was granted anonymity. Miah remains on conditional court bail.

In a running commentary on the case, provided on his various and frequently banned social media platforms which operate under the name of Recusant Nine,  he robustly denies any wrongdoing and repeatedly claims his dawn raid arrest by Greater Manchester Police, in July, 2021, was ‘politically motivated’ (read more here). A matter he has also repeated in open court in at least one prior hearing.

Miah is expected, once again, to be accompanied at court by his scruffy, unruly entourage whom, appositely, self-style as ‘The Rabble’ (read more here).
