West Yorkshire Police say that a remote misconduct hearing is to be held at 11am on 6th February, 2024 in relation to former PC Abigail Pigram.

It is alleged that;

On 16th August, 2022 at around 18:00 hours former PC Pigram, when off duty, crashed her motor vehicle on Vale Mill Lane, Keighley.

PC Pigram, as she was then, left the scene and failed to report the collision to the police.  The collision was subsequently reported to the police by a member of the public.

The officer returned to the scene, identified herself to the attending colleagues as the driver and confirmed that she had lost control of the vehicle.

Former PC Pigram was found to be over the legal drink drive limit.

On 10th February, 2023, Abigail Pigram was found guilty of driving over the prescribed limit of alcohol.

In behaving in such a way, she has acted in breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour relating to Discreditable Conduct.

These matters are individually and collectively alleged to amount to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour that if proved, is so serious that her dismissal, if she had not already resigned, would be justified.
